Today, in the United States, it’s small business Saturday, where consumers are encouraged to visit local small businesses to make their holiday purchases. There are many, many benefits of shopping at a small local business and game shops are no exception. I will be visiting several of my local game shops this afternoon after my scheduled game concludes. Not sure what I am looking to purchase, but even with a very tight holiday budget, I am sure I can find something from each store to purchase. I hope this is also an international effort!

I hope other gamers are taking this opportunity to specifically venture out and visit the local game store(s) and show your support for them by making a purchase today. What better way to support them, by doing your Christmas shopping for the gamers in your life. If we don’t support our local stores, they will cease to exist and we’ll be a lot worse off!
