Has this caught your attention yet? It was launched about 8 days ago and finally I have had the time to check it out. I am intrigued and yet intimidated at the same time! Though I’m not sure that is an emotion the game is supposed to elicit.
“Bluebeard’s Bride produces adult feminine horror fiction like Crimson Peak, American Horror Story, or The Company of Wolves, making it fun for horror fans and dark fairy tale fans alike. And the Powered by the Apocalypse system gives Bluebeard’s Bride the strong, yet flexible system necessary to tell your own flavor of horror.” (Kickstarter campaign page)
I need to sort this out… I love the horror genre, but sitting at a table with most likely guys who will be playing aspects of the female psyche seems intimidating to me. This may be both a good thing and a weird experience at the same time. Obviously, the jury is still out.
Am I off base on these feelings? If so, tell me why! This game or at least the genre does interest me immensely and I strive to support creative people making creative things!
Lots of stretch goals have been already in the first 8 or so days of the campaign and having seen what this company has published in the past, I am confident the stretch goals will not pose a problem for this creative team.
So, tell me why I should or should not support this Kickstarter at the $20 level.
